Hesper - Hellenic Society for Pavement Engineering Research

Athens 2007 Internation Conference

CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES

In view of the high international interest in mechanistic pavement analysis, design and rehabilitation, their geotechnical aspects and the experimental determination of the necessary material model parameters, the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in cooperation with the Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) and the University of Illinois are co-organizing in Athens, 20-22 June 2007, the International Conference entitled “Advanced Characterization of Pavement and Soil Engineering Materials”. The Conference aims to provide a forum for the exchange of recent developments and research results amongst researchers and practitioners involved in computational simulation, experimental characterization and field testing for prediction of the sort and the long term performance of various types of pavements. The Conference topics focus on road and airport pavements, on geotechnical aspects, as well as on aspects that deal with railways. The Conference topics include but are not limited to the following:

Several national and international bodies as among others the International Society for Asphalt Pavements (ISAP) and the International Society for Concrete Pavements (ISCP) are supporting this International Scientific event, which is also under the auspices of the Hellenic Society for Pavement Engineering Research (HESPER).
